A new paper led by Samuel Jones is currently under review in Hydrology and Earth System Sciences discussion. In this paper, we present a non-destructive method to retrieve simultaneously the soil carbonic anhydrase activity and the oxygen isotopic composition of soil water that interacts with atmospheric CO2. A main conclusion is that CO2 may be principally interacting with water pools associated with particle surfaces rather than the bulk water pool. For more details just click here!
