Jean-Christophe received his PhD from Oregon State university (under the supervision of Barbara Lachenbruch, formerly Gartner). He did his postdoctoral work at Oregon State University (with B. Lachenbruch and Frederick Meinzer). Since 2009 he has been teaching at Duke University the classes “Tree Structure and Function”, “Ecological Functioning of Trees” and Plant Wood Anatomy” and in 2011 he joined Bordeaux Science Agro as a full Professor in sustainable forestry. Jean-Christophe’s experience lies in wood physiology, plant water transport modeling, and wood anatomy.
