Teresa joined the EcoFun research team in December 2014 funded by an IdEx post- doctoral fellowship of the University of Bordeaux. Her current research project explores the underlying mechanisms regulating water loss during night time in different terrestrial plant forms using multiple tracer techniques. Prior to that, she was a post-doctoral fellow at the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment (HIE) of the University of Western Sydney (Australia), where she studied the effect of elevated CO2 on water use by a native eucalypt forest (the EucFACE experiment). She completed her PhD at the former Institute of Natural Resources (currently Natural History Museum of the Spanish Research Council), under the supervision of Fernando Valladares and Adrian Escudero. During her PhD, Teresa assessed the impact of land use and climate changes on two Mediterranean woodland species.
